Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop music
boy group that formed in the year 2009. The group is made up of Kendall
Schmidt, James Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega. They signed
initially with Nick Records in 2009. Then, Columbia Records transferred them to
their new label. The group was featured in Nickelodeon's TV show Big Time Rush.
The show ran from November 28 from 2009 to July 25, 2013. The pilot episode
featured the group's debut promo single, "Big Time Rush". The group
recorded three albums: BTR in 2010, Elevate 2011 and 24/Seven 2013. In 2014,
the band was on a hiatus that ran until 2021. The band resumed live shows in
the studio, and then released "Call It Like It's Seeing It".
Nickelodeon signed Big Time Rush a record deal in 2009 as they were
simultaneously airing the TV show Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon also joined forces
with Columbia/Epic Label Group for production and music that is original. The
first single of the series, "Big Time Rush" was released on the 29th
of November, 2009. The song was officially released on Nickelodeon and first
aired in the U.S. November 2009 and was later aired worldwide. It was featured
in an introduction to the series for one hour and is the show's opener. There
were promotional singles made available by the show, which included "City
is Ours" (with Big Time Rush) and "Any Kind of Guy". Big Time
Rush also performed the Play song titled "Famous". The song first
came out to iTunes on June 29th in 2010. After its series premiere, another
song, "Halfway There", was made available on iTunes on April 27,
2010. It was soon their first charting track on the Billboard Hot 100. It was
ranked at 93 thanks to digital sales. On September 21 in 2010, Big Time Rush
released second single "Till I Forget About You", to promote the
debut album's release. BTR, the album BTR came out on the 11th of October, the
11th of October. The album reached the top 3 spot on the Billboard 200 and sold
67,000 copies in its first week.
